All treatments are customized for each client. Therapists’ experience and knowledge, along with clients’ input, result in ideal treatment sessions. Our skilled team of therapists can offer various types of massage and treatment approaches.

Swedish Massage
By far the most popular form of massage, Swedish Massage – relaxation massage. Popularized by early 19th century Swedish fencing master and gymnastics teacher Henrik Ling, Swedish massage involves long, flowing strokes, often in the direction of the heart, along with kneading and circular movements, all using massage lotion or oil to minimize friction. Used most often for its relaxation benefits, Swedish massage is the common ‘introductory’ technique for people who have never experienced massage before.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is massage therapy that focuses on realigning the deeper layers of muscles & connective tissue. It is most beneficial for tight and tense muscles or over-worked areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, sore shoulders and legs.

Some of the same strokes are used in Swedish Massage Therapy, but the movement is somewhat slower and the pressure applied is deeper and always focuses on areas of tension.

It is important during deep tissue massage to inform your therapist if pressure is too heavy or too light

Sport Performance & Massage
Sport Massage is the application of deeper, more stimulating Swedish techniques. Our registered massage therapists offer sports massages that are extremely useful for enhanced performance, some of which can be applied on the day of a specific event.

Maintenance Sports Massage
The intent here is to facilitate recovery with focused deep tissue work, using passive and active stretching. trigger points, helping maintaining optimal range of motion, this is critical to the athlete’s performance during training.

Post-Event Sports Massage
1 – 3 hours after an event or activity is optimal. The goal to flush out muscles and restore nervous system activity to normal pre- activity levels. Usually lighter pressure, coupled with passive stretching. This will eliminate lactic acid build up, which in turn aids healing time and decreases delayed onset of muscle soreness

Couples Massage
It is important to book your couples well in advanced as we need to ensure one of our couples rooms will be available.

Two tables and two therapists – one for each person to receive individualized treatment simultaneously. Couples massage is a shared experience that can strengthen your closeness.

Couples Massage are arranged in order for two people to enjoy each other’s company, so talking is quite appropriate, or you may prefer to remain quiet. The choice is yours. As with an individual massage, you will be covered at all times with a sheet and only the area being treated will be accessed.

Your therapist may need to discuses areas of concern -for example-(tension in certain areas of your body), during your couples massage treatment if you do no wish to discuses these types of issues in the presence of your loved one please relay your wishes to your therapist before your massage therapy session begins.

Hot Stone Massage
If an escape from the cold winter months is what you’re looking for, you’ll find it in our Hot Stone Massage. Our stone’s are heated and placed along the spine and other areas of the body as the therapist works in fluid motions rolling the oiled stones over the skin, acting as a warm and comforting extension of their hands.

Lava Shell Massage
Lava Shell Massage is a deeply comforting and relaxing full body massage which uses naturally self heating Tiger Clam shells from the sun kissed shores of the Philippines. These marine polished sea shells glide smoothly over the body and are used as massage tools to release muscle tension and blocked energy flow to provide a sense of balance to the entire body and mind.

Reflexology
Reflexology is the application of pressure, stretch and movement to the feet and hands to affect corresponding parts of the body through the nervous system. By applying technique a reflexologist can break up stress found in other parts of the body.

NEW! Athletic Therapy
Athletic Therapy was primarily known for providing quick on-field care of athletes in order to help return athletes to their sport. Athletic Therapists also help in the ability to maximize performace and potential along with providing preventitive care as required.

Those same skills apply to athletes and none athletes alike as those same skills can help injuries sustained by everyday active people either recovering from an injury, chronic conditions or workplace and vehicle accidents

 

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to promote healing and a feeling of well being and relaxation in the recipient. The essential oils are extracted from the parts of herbs and plants and contain all the properties of the plants themselves. There are several ways of applying the oils, including adding the oils to your bath, or inhaling them, but the most popular and effective is through massage.
